There is a whole hidden “UNIVERSE” behind our skin: muscles, fat pads, blood & lymph vessels, nerves, and bones.
💪 In order to keep your face in shape, healthy, youthful, and glowing you should be taking care not only of your skin but what is behind it — your facial muscles. Facial muscles are the same structure as those on the body (the only difference is that they attach differently).
🏋️♀️ And just as your body needs a workout to be healthy and in shape, your face needs the workout too. If facial muscles are not taken care of they can get either tense due to overuse or atrophy due to underuse. When facial muscles lose shape and shrink they are more susceptible to gravity and they also sag faster. Additionally, with the loss of facial muscle volume, the skin is more susceptible to wrinkling because it does not have enough surface area to spread over.
🙆♀️ With facial therapy massage, we are rebuilding and reactivating the muscles that have been rarely used and releasing muscles that are overused.
